Not only praying over a meal prepared for guests - but all meals prepared for my own family, and in particular, those meals which are taken to families in need. Our "Christ Living Waters" volunteers take meals to congregation members who are in need of meal assistance because of injuries, illness, surgeries, etc. What a blessing to add our prayers to those meals. Thank you, Michael, for this devotion. It has touched my heart!

Time for a spiritual rest...What a great idea! Is this more about trusting the Lord with what's going on around us rather than actually praying while asleep?

Speaking of prayer gardens....every summer our prayer team prays in gardens of our congregation or in gardens of friends. It is truly a bonding of the Spirit of God in us. A closeness of fellowship with God and His Creation together.

Jennifer,
This is so encouraging for those of us who stand on God's Word. I agree with you 100% that God uses different ways to draw closer to us as we draw closer to HIM. Thank you for sharing your ideas and experiences with all of us!
In Christ,
Mrs. Jolene Torgler
PS> When working at KCTV-5 in their Prayer Room, we were all given a wonderful prayer guide for those who would like to "speak God's Word" to certain circumstances or problems. It is called, " Scripture Keys for Kingdom Living", by June Newman Davis.
